This Privacy Policy explains how Cadence: Routine Checklists ("Cadence", "the app", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the app.

Cadence is built with privacy in mind. We do not require an account, we do not run ads, and we do not operate our own user database or servers.

What We Collect

On Your Device

Cadence stores all of your routine data, run history logs, and application settings locally on your device so the app can function correctly. This includes:

Routines you create (titles, descriptions, steps, and optional branch logic).
Run history logs (completed steps, timestamps, duration, options selected).
App preferences (selected theme, default settings).
Subscription status.

All of this information is stored locally using the operating system's secure storage. We never see it, and we do not collect or store it on our own servers.

Optional Cloud Sync

If you choose to enable Cloud Sync (a Pro feature):

On iPhone / iPad: Your routine data syncs to your iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. Cadence cannot read this data — only your authenticated devices can.
On Android: Your routine data syncs to a private, hidden app data folder in your Google Drive account. Cadence only has access to this specific folder and cannot see or access your other Google Drive files.

In both cases, your data goes between your devices via your own cloud account. We have no servers and we do not see or touch your data.

Analytics and Diagnostics

Cadence does not use any third-party analytics services or crash reporting libraries to collect app usage statistics, diagnostics, or crash data. If analytics or crash reporting are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those changes are released.

Purchases

When you purchase Cadence Pro, the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store (Google) handles the payment. We receive only an anonymous transaction receipt confirming the purchase status — never your payment details, credit card, email, or name.

What We Don't Do

We don't have user accounts.
We don't sell or share your data with third parties.
We don't show advertisements.
We don't track you across other apps or websites.
We don't use your routine data to train AI models or for any other purpose.

Your Choices and Rights

You have absolute control over your data:

Delete your data: Simply uninstall the app from your device, and all locally stored app data is deleted.
Stop cloud sync: Toggle off Cloud Sync in Settings to stop uploading data to your iCloud or Google Drive.

Children's Privacy

Cadence does not require users to create an account and does not ask users to provide personal contact information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected any personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and make the new version available on this page.
